** If you are interested in finding out more about Jimmy, please COMPLETE the adoption questionnaire on our website www.ra-na.com and we will be in touch to chat more about Jim Bob **
Jimmy is super sweet, friendly and loving. Loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa (so please do not apply if you are not a fan of dogs on sofas, as Jimmy will not understand!)
Jimmy is obsessed with all food (bananas and Avocadoes included!!) He is great with other dogs and cats, having grown up with MANY animals in foster. He is very submissive and will do anything to avoid confrontation.
Originally rescued from the streets of Nairobi, Kenya as a tiny pup, where he was spotted coming out of a shack selling wooden ornaments. We asked what the skinny pups back story was, as he had no skin on his feet and had an awful skin infection. We were told, he was dumped a few weeks ago by a car driving past. When asked if anyone had fed him since, the answer was No. His food obsession could be justified, even though he has not been hungry for years! He loved galloping around the forest, although was quite partial to chasing monkeys! He then spent some time in Uganda, so is very used to been in a car, although he is happiest when his head is out the window.
He has been tested with children over 7 and and very friendly with everyone he meets.
He loves walks, gets excited and dances from side to side. He is always the one we take last and he is fine with waiting for his turn. He doesnt need a lot of exercise, but is very happy to do long walks! He is just an easy going boy, who enjoys being with you.
He spent around 6 months in a boarding facility with around 50 dogs, altogether (there were no cages) so is very used to other dogs and reads the room well. He could therefore be rehomed with other dogs, or on his own, if he weren't to be left a long time. He always chooses to be with humans given the choice.
He really is the sweetest chap and we have gone to a lot to keep him safe. Sadly our work, which meant he was saved in the first place, sees us travelling a lot. It was a big journey for him to travel from Kenya to the UK, and we dont want to have to put him through a similar journey all over again.
We are trying to think with our heads and do what is best for this little gorgeous cuddly Jim Bob, even though it hurts to think of him not around!
We would love a home where you would keep in touch, there would never be a thing as too many updates.
Any questions we would be happy to answer.
Jim is vaccinated, sterilised and arrived in the UK in April 2025
