Rare opportunity to acquire A BREEDING FEMALE INDIAN STAR TORTOISE (or in fact two).
Owned by myself for a number of years the brighter coloured of the two (Buna) was bred by myself in 2016 and laid clutches for the first time in 2024, and has laid for me again in 2025.
The older female (Lizzie) has been with me since 2002 and lays 4 or 5 small clutches of large eggs each year.
Both in excellent health, active with hearty appetites. They may lay more eggs this season although sometimes females won’t in new surroundings until they have settled in. As with all things tortoise this can take some time so a patient approach is required.
I am slimming down my tortoise groups this year which is the only reason they are available.
2016 female (Buna) weighs 1889g and is 21.4cm long SCL (as of 11.7.2025)
The older female (Lizzie) has a really smooth shell and weighs 2449g and 23.2cm SCL (as of 11.7.2025)
Both are microchipped and come with the correct Article 10 certificate as required by law.
These are mainly indoor tortoises and must be kept warm and active all year round.
