Kenji is one of those dogs who quietly slip into your heart and stay there.
Born in March 2022, he is gentle, loving and emotionally intelligent — a dog with a soul as soft as his expression.
Kenji arrived in a killing shelter together with his sister Yumi. Their future was heartbreakingly uncertain, until they were rescued just in time and brought to safety in a private shelter. And that is where Kenji showed who he truly is.
After their rescue, Kenji and Yumi were placed separately. Kenji was introduced to mama Misha and her puppies, who needed calm, reassurance and emotional support. Without hesitation, Kenji stepped into that role. He naturally took on a gentle, fatherly role, becoming their quiet protector and offering stability, patience and warmth. He supported Misha with such tenderness and treated her pups with endless kindness.

Kenji is wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with all dogs. He has a special softness for female dogs — his sister Yumi, sweet Misha, and the puppies all clearly captured his heart. He moves through a group calmly and respectfully, always choosing harmony.
And now, after giving so much of himself to others, it is finally Kenji’s turn.

📏 Size:
Kenji is a small to medium-sized boy, with an estimated shoulder height of approximately 38–40 cm.
Photos can sometimes make him appear larger, but in reality he is compact, perfectly proportioned and very easy to live with.
🐾 Appearance & possible mix:
Kenji has a warm red/fawn coat, a sturdy yet elegant little body and the softest, most soulful eyes.
Based on his appearance, Kenji seems to be a Welsh Corgi × Shiba Inu–type mix, with maybe just a little hint of Chow Chow, reflected in the gentle curl of his tail and the typical Chow Chow tongue colouring.
As with so many rescue dogs, his exact mix remains a guess — but whatever it may be, Kenji is simply beautiful, inside and out.

Kenji has a pure, kind-hearted and nurturing nature. He is social with all dogs, wonderfully gentle with puppies and deeply affectionate in a calm, sincere way.

All adoptions are subject to a home check (online if required).
We place our dogs only with genuine dog lovers, with a private garden and no children under the age of 10.
Our dogs are family companions — not working, therapy or assistance dogs.
We remain available for post-adoption support and are a transparent rescue, actively involved in spay and neuter programmes. We have successfully placed over 500 dogs with families across the UK, all of whom can provide references.
Adoption fees may vary depending on circumstances.
