💙🐶 LORD – A Brilliant Young Mind Looking for the Right Home to Grow 🐶💙 🇬🇧🐾 UK BASED – URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED 🐾🇬🇧 📍 Currently in Leeds LS27 (meet-ups can be arranged) 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks ******************Plan insurance provided upon adoption 🌟 🐾 Meet Lord — an 8-month-old medium boy with a sharp mind, huge potential, and a loving heart. Lord arrived in the UK just five days ago and went straight into a foster-to-adopt trial. Sadly, the family has realised that while Lord is wonderful, their lifestyle and environment are not the right match for such an intelligent, high-drive young dog. This is through absolutely no fault of Lord. He is exactly what he should be: a bright, energetic adolescent who needs time, structure, and the right outlet for his brain and body. ✨ Highlights • SIZE: Medium, currently around 53 cm and 23–24 kg, with a little growing still to do • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Extremely intelligent, energetic, affectionate once settled, eager to learn • DOGS: Friendly, benefits from calm canine company • CATS: Not tested • CHILDREN: Best with older, dog-savvy children who understand space and boundaries • HOME LIFE: Clean indoors, sleeps through the night, settles well once routine is in place 💔 Rescue Story Lord and his sisters were found abandoned as tiny puppies at a summer house settlement. Left behind and unwanted, they survived purely by luck until a volunteer stepped in and brought them to safety. Since then, Lord has grown up knowing kindness, consistency, and human care — and it shows in everything he does. 🐾 More About Lord (from his current family) “Lord settled in much quicker than expected. He is extremely intelligent — almost to a fault — and eager to learn. He’s very food-oriented and loves training games. He enjoys a cuddle once he’s tired himself out and is affectionate on his own terms.” “He walks well on a lead with direction, is learning fetch, and enjoys meat-based treat games, puzzle toys, lick mats and enrichment. He prefers to graze rather than eat two full meals.” “He is very clean in the house, sleeps through the night, and is comfortable wearing a harness and coat. He enjoys being outside and isn’t bothered by weather at all — rain or shine.” “He would really flourish with lots of varied exercise and mental stimulation. I could absolutely see him enjoying agility, scent work or flyball in the future.” Lord is still learning about the world. He can be unsure around unfamiliar noises, people, and dogs, and benefits from quieter walking routes while he builds confidence. Once settled, he enjoys affection — but he needs space to decompress and regulate his energy. 🏡 Ideal Family Lord needs an active, committed home with people who have time during the day and genuinely enjoy working with an intelligent young dog. He would suit a household that values mental stimulation just as much as physical exercise and understands that clever dogs need direction, not just walks. A decent size, secure garden with real grass is important for him, along with access to quieter walking areas, fields, or countryside spaces. He would benefit greatly from living with a friendly, confident, female dog who can model appropriate behaviour and help him regulate his energy. This is not a dog for a busy, overstimulating environment or for people who expect a “finished product.” Lord needs someone willing to guide him through adolescence so he can grow into the exceptional companion he has every potential to be. 🩺 Health Information Lord is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He has been Brucella tested in line with rescue protocols. 💌 If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
