Description

Sadly looking to rehome our gorgeous 3-year-old Rottweiler/Mastiff. We are moving and unfortunately cannot bring him with us 😭 We are based in Wiltshire. As you can see, he is a dopey, affectionate soul ā¤ļø He does get very excited when meeting new people...he’s fine with people he’s met a few times but likes to suss strangers out first. He may bark initially. We have a stair gate and he will jump up at the stairgate to see who's come in the house! He likes to bark at the bin lorry as that drives by, he can be vocal when he wants to be! On walks, he gets excited when he sees other dogs. He currently lives with another dog but can still become hyperactive, so we usually walk him at quieter times or let him run free in enclosed secure dog fields. His recall is non existent when he is distracted, so we dont risk letting him off leash in public, he does know his name and will come straight in from the back garden..if he hasn't opened the back door to let himself in that is!! Once settled in his home, he is the sweetest boy. He loves chin rubs, belly rubs, and is very food motivated...he’ll do almost anything for a treat! He loves playing ball, frisbee, and tug-of-war. He is house and crate trained, and good as gold during baths. Requirements for his new home: No young children (older teens may be suitable). He must remain on his current food for at least a few months to avoid upsetting his stomach. We will conduct thorough checks to ensure he is going to a secure, suitable home. We request that the new owner keeps in touch with updates on his wellbeing. Ideally, a home without another dominant dog (he can try to assert dominance). If you have any questions, please message us. Serious enquiries only, please. He does live with cats but if they hiss at him he gets a bit excited. It is important he is rehomed to someone that has a secure good sized garden. You will need a high fence. He is a strong dog so you must be able to handle him & it is important that you have dealt with large breeds/rottweiler/mastiff before. He is honestly a lovely lovely boy, he just needs the right home.
