Description

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿพ ENGLAND BASED โ€“ EMERGENCY FOSTER OR HOME NEEDED ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿถ BAKS โ€“ A Loyal Soul Needing Calm, Structure, and a Second Chance ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ  LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT ๐Ÿ  ๐Ÿ“ Located: East Sussex (BN20) โ€“ Reasonable transport help can be arranged ๐ŸŒŸ RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free insurance provided (on request) ๐Ÿ“Œ Baks is a smallish-medium 2-year-old boy, neutered and fully healthy. He arrived in the UK nearly 7 months ago with hopeโ€”but despite his devoted family's best efforts, his current home doesnโ€™t feel they are the right environment for him. ๐Ÿ“ฆ We are urgently seeking a foster with experience, and understanding to support Baks through a fresh start, ideally in a rural or quiet setting. ๐ŸŒŸ Highlights: SIZE: Small-medium (44 cm / 15 kg) AGE: 2 years SPAYED/NEUTERED: Yes CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Loyal, intelligent, energetic, needs space and structure DOGS: Not recommended as a housemate currently (has shown reactivity) CATS & SMALL ANIMALS: No CHILDREN: Not suitable for homes with young children ๐Ÿ’” Rescue Story: Baks was found tied to the gates of a Ukrainian shelterโ€”abandoned without explanation, confused and heartbroken. Despite this, he greeted rescuers with a wagging tail and hope in his eyes. His Ukrainian foster remembers him as one of the sweetest, easiest dogs sheโ€™s ever had, showing no aggression or issues during his time there. ๐Ÿ’™ Current Situation โ€“ Words From His UK Family: "Baks is a wonderful dog, with so much love to give. Heโ€™s made huge progress and built an amazing bond with us. He loves music, forest walks, and the beach. Heโ€™s clever and has learned many commands with ease. But sadly, weโ€™re not the right home for him." Challenges: Baks is reactive to strangers and unknown dogs, especially on lead. He has nipped due to high arousal or feeling unsafe. He is wary of men, except for his male caregiver, whom he totally adores. He can become territorial and defensive of his home toward the visitors. His body language is difficult to read, and he lacks early warning signals like growling. He has a prey drive and will chase wildlife. Strengths: House-trained, non-destructive, crate-trained. Very intelligent โ€“ knows sit, stay, down, heel, place, leave it, middle, find it, and more. Can be left alone for up to 4 hours. Walks well on the lead and long line. Has a deep, trusting bond with those he accepts โ€“ incredibly affectionate and loyal. Loves his crate and relaxes there naturally (not closed) Enjoys mental stimulation and obedience work. โ€œBaks is the most soft and gorgeous dog when he is with just us at home. However, he doesnโ€™t like all other people and dogs we see on walks and he cannot tolerate anyone else coming into our home. We had previously thought he had made a few dog friends but after he bite on of them we are now unclear. โ€œ ๐Ÿก Ideal Home: Baks needs a calm, experienced, adult-only home in a rural setting, with no other pets and minimal visitors. Someone with experience or the willingness to work with a trainer using positive reinforcement will give him the best chance to reset and heal. He needs someone who can respect his space, avoid overwhelm. A secure garden is a must, and his walks must be managed with structure. ๐Ÿ’Œ Baks is not an easy projectโ€”but he is a deeply rewarding one. In the right hands, this boy will give his full heart. He is clever, loyal, and capable of so much. What he needs now is a calm place to rest, reset, and slowly begin again. If you can offer that space, time, and dedication, Baks will repay it in loyalty and love that runs deep. โ€œHeโ€™s truly one of a kind. We believe in him and will do everything we can to support his transition.โ€ ๐Ÿฉบ Health Information: Baks is healthy. Neutered. Vaccinated. Microchipped. ๐Ÿงช All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate). ๐Ÿ“ฉ If you can offer Baks a safe foster home or are open to a foster-to-adopt journey, please reach out urgently. ๐Ÿ”— Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form: https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 ๐Ÿ”— Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA
