Description
Zara is an 20 month old Kennel
Club registered golden retriever. She is a stunning girl as evidenced in her photos. Her coat is a beautiful deep golden colour and she is just beginning to get her adult feathers. Zara absolutely adores being brushed to keep her neat, and she craves all kinds of physical interaction, including cuddling on the sofa. She has the most endearing habit of using her front paws to cuddle the humans she loves, either when standing on her back legs behind a baby gate, or sitting on her haunches to do the same.
She has the superb temperament typical of a golden retriever, she is naturally smiley and joyful, beaming all the time and seeking affection with her gaze. She is extremely loyal, gentle and playful. She is great with children, she loves to chase and interact with them, her intelligence and good nature shining through.
She is used to other dogs, large and small and a resident dog may help her to settle into her new forever home. She is strong on the lead so this would need some work and also can be startled by a sudden noise when out, for example a big lorry, or a motorbike roaring past. She is also wary of unfamiliar dogs she might meet on a walk although she has no reason to be.
She is house trained, crate trained and is genetically clear of the following conditions
Ichthyosis-Clear
Muscular Dystrophy- Clear
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis - clear
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA1)- Clear
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA2) - Clear

Her dad, Fantasy Fly Donald Duck, is a famous stud dog who is genetically clear for multiple conditions with excellent hip and elbow scores. Further information can be provided on request. He is a show line golden retriever with multiple champions in his lineage.
Her mum is working golden retriever, also with a strong background of excellent health testing and champions in her background.
Zara loves to play and will retrieve a ball with precision and enjoyment.
Her KC paperwork and Health Test Certificate will be passed onto her new owners. We are really looking for a pet only home, but are open to enquiries from breeders too, who can evidence their dogs are part of their family and live in the house with them.
This decision is not an easy one and families who meet this criteria only need apply for this wonderful girl
