I have owned Handsome (H for short) for over 3 years. He is a 16.3, 16 year old Irish sports horse. He has excellent breeding and has previously show jumped up to 1m 20 , done cross country / farm rides and camps, but he is now looking for a quieter life.
H is sadly for full loan / sale due to recently starting a new job which is unfortunately taking up more of my time, which he needs.
He truly is a yard favourite, easy to handle both in and out of the stable. He loves a fuss and will stand to be bushed / bathed all day. Good to shoe, clip, travel and with the vet.
He thrives on 1 to 1 and is happiest in a routine.
He is bombproof to hack both alone and in company, I can not ride for months and just jump back on. Good with heavy traffic and farming equipment, can ride on the end of the buckle or in a lovely outline.
The reason he is only advertised as a Happy Hacker / Companion is due to him having arthritic changes, however with the correct maintenance he will be able to do more, I just haven’t had the time to do this - I am happy to discuss this further for serious enquires.
He also has a couple of bald patches from ex-sarcoids, which have been treated for well over a year and has had full sign off from the vet, with no issues.
He will come with full wardrobe including boots, rugs ect. Fairfax adjustable gullet saddle and PS of Sweden Bridle can be sold separately.
Up to date with wormers, dentists and jabs.
He will only go to a 5 star home and these will be vetted, so serious enquiries only. Price to be discussed.
