Sadly having to rehome our perfect America Akita girl.
My wife has recently had a heart attack, and with ongoing health issues we have had to come to this decision.
Freya is 16 months (birthday day is June 16th) and is the perfect friend.
She loves to walk and sniff along the way, then curl up with a carrot when she gets back. She is very affectionate especially to the women in her life, and is very quick to warn you with a bark if there's a rouge cat in the garden.
Loves to play with her toys in the garden, and gets sad if she accidentally breaks one.
Freya needs a home where she isn't left alone for long, and gets plenty of walks. She has a lot of love to give.
With my wife's health and my work, we feel she is not getting the life she deserves.
She is an Akita and anyone needs to research her breed before you consider if Freya is right for you.
She can only go to a home with children over 12, this is because she is large and clumsy, we have never seen aggression towards small children, but she has not been around them.
No small animals - She's an Akita, she has prey drive. Ok around other mid to large dogs as long they are confident- please bear this in mind if you already have a dog.
Freya is confident out on walks, and doesn't pull much (usually a bit at the start)
Responds to the usual commands, and is fully house trained.
No call back, so always on kept on lead.
Freya is having her annual booster tomorrow (2nd) so available from Friday. She is unspayed as she has only just had her first full season, she can be spayed from January.
She will come with all the essentials - harness, lead, bowls, toys, etc.
