Description

Bonnie is a beagle girl and is now 17 months old and is currently in Portsmouth Bonnie is a playful little dog who loves to play ball when out on walks, she is good on the lead but nervous of traffic. She plays happily off lead on a field and has good recall. She can get distracted by smells so sometimes you have to call her loudly and few times. Bonnie is very food orientated and doesn’t like to share food so I’ve always kept her separate when there is any food around. She will jump on your kitchen side too if you leave food out! She likes other dogs and will play with them on the field if there isn’t a ball around. You do have to watch her if she does have a ball as she doesn’t like to share. She will be best as an only dog as she doesn’t like to share her human, which can cause an argument. She is possessive but a very loving dog. She is nervous of new people but once she knows them she loves to get a fuss and will jump up on your lap. She has been good with the minimal children she has met. She is ok with my mums cat but does chase him from time to time. I wouldn’t put her with small furries after seeing her trying to chase squirrels etc in the woods. She is house trained and knows how to use a dog flap, she has been in a crate but doesn’t like being left in them for long periods of time,. She loves her sleep and will happily cuddle up with you all day, Bonnie currently sleeps in a bed with her owner. She can be left but not sure if she is an only dog as she has been with others when I’ve left her alone. She generally curls up and goes to sleep. She is very healthy and had her vaccinations done in the middle of September. She could benefit from some more training but, this will not be a problem if she’s an only dog.
