It’s with a very heavy heart that I’m looking for the perfect forever home for Reggie. He is a lovely, affectionate and well-rounded boy who deserves someone who can give him the time, attention and life he deserves. Reggie is excellent off lead and has a really good recall to a whistle. He is great around other dogs and is a wonderful family dog. I have a 7-week-old baby, a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old, and Reggie has always been absolutely amazing with my children. He is crate trained, isn’t fussy at all with his food and happily eats both kibble and wet food. He has been health checked by the vets and is fully up to date with his flea and worming treatment from the vets, rather than just over-the-counter products. Reggie has not been neutered. This is an extremely difficult decision and absolutely isn’t because of anything Reggie has done. With having a newborn and three children, my attention is naturally focused on them, and I simply don’t feel I can give Reggie the time, exercise, attention and one-to-one life that he deserves. I would much rather make the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can get everything he needs and be truly spoiled. I’m looking for a genuine, loving forever home for Reggie, with someone who understands dachshunds and can give him the time and attention he deserves. He is a very special boy and this decision has not been made lightly.
