Leo and his sister Leona were caught by animal control in Belarus and taken to a government-run compound where unwanted dogs are routinely euthanized. The two puppies were placed on the list for execution.
Thankfully, volunteers intervened and saved them — but it was already too late for little Leona. She didn’t survive the illness they both contracted. Fragile and weak, Leo fought with everything he had — and he made it.
Now Leo lives for them both. He carries her memory in his heart, and every happy bark, every joyful run, and every wag of his tail is a quiet tribute to the sister he lost — and to the life he’s been given.
Leo is a young, active boy with a gentle, loving soul. He’s friendly, socialized, and gets along beautifully with well-mannered dogs and cats.
He’s now searching for his forever home — a place where he can feel safe, loved, and free. A second chance to live the life he never stopped hoping for. Could that home be with you?
