Hiya, I'm sadly having to rehome my 2 land snails. I've had them since the start of this year, and I've always fed them varied veg, protein and occasional fruits with calcium dusted ontop.
The enclosure comes with them, it's a 45x45cm cube glass enclosure, I think it's vivexotic? It's got 2 glass opening doors and the lid can come off.
Inside the tank they've got deep cocofibre soil, food and water dishes, 3 large pieces of cork and a skull decoration (they love to go inside of it).
(there's also a small group of isopods living in there, they don't harm the snails and they keep the soil clean so don't mind them).
Their care is super simple, you need a water mister and you need to give the enclosure a good misting once a day. and you need to give them fresh veg every 1-2 days. They need to be kept around 21°c, no less than 19 no higher than 27ish. So normally in a house they're alright without a heat source, but if your room is super cold you can get a heat mat for them.
For feeding it's best to vary what you give them, good options are cucumber, carrot, kale, squash, strawberries (as a treat once a week). They can't have anything that's acidic, no potato, tomato or orange.
Overall they're great pets, you can handle them often and they're super chill.
