Meet Jerry (wasn’t collected so still needs a forever home)- (CONFIRMED MALE) he’s a stunning leopard tortoise born in Kenya, and hand raised in the Uk. I chose him as a pet for my young daughter who has recently decided she wants something fluffier. lol. I have enjoyed looking after him as her fairly easy to care for. Honestly he’d be ideal for an older person with a garden or someone own enjoy tortoises as he is super chill. I turn his light on around 7am daily… give home fresh water and a handful of grass throughout the day. He love cut up peppers, tomatoes and carrots. I have extra heat light and tank bulbs (3@ £40 each) included that will save you lots of money. He live in a simply decorated vivarium and goes to bed around 4pm daily. He like to get out his tank and have a good stretch so tile floors and/or grassy gardens are best. I had hoped to watch him grow up however I’m moving soon and unfortunately it’s going to be a tight squeeze to fit him as my new place doesn’t have a garden area. I’d gladly keep him but it would only be because he’s a great pet and I like him. Hopefully there’s someone out there that has the love and space to care for him. If your interested please let me know any questions you have especially if you’ve never owned a tortoise. He can keep the elderly company or the young babies entertained. It’s nice knowing he can’t run fast so you don’t have to worry about chasing him lol. He doesn’t Hibernate and is very content in his home. Hopefully you have space in your heart and home for this beautiful boy
He’s spends his time in the garden mostly but sleeps inside for safety at night as our current property needs the fence fixed and away from predators. It only has one glass for ventilation purposes and has a sprinkle of his vitamins for support. I hope he finds someone that can fully commit to the next few years as I’m sure he will get very big and his shell is quite beautiful.
No deposit required but serious interest only please.. I am available during the mornings till early lunch for collecting during weekdays. As I work weekends and school run please consider this before arrangements.
