Description

This is absolutely heart breaking to write this, but due to my wife and daughter struggling with allergies i have no choice but to find a forever home for Max. We have had Max since he was 12 weeks old, he’s my best friend and he truly is the best dog in the world. Max has been raised around 3 children, he’s walked daily and loves meeting other dogs, he loves every dog he meets and doesn’t have an ounce of aggression, if a dog is negative towards him he’ll just back off, although on a walk he does like to pull you towards other dogs to meet them, he’s a very social dog! During feeding time max will sit and wait after his food is poured into the bowl, he’ll do paw with you and then on the command “go on then!” we will start eating - you can tell him to “stop” during eating and he will, not that there’s ever any need to do that, but he would, he’s not food aggressive so if a toddler for example goes near him and puts their hands in his bowl, he’ll just look for an adult like “dude i’m just trying to eat my food control your kid 🤣” His tail was amputated over a year ago, we was playing on the trampoline with the kids and jumped off and got his tail caught in the springs. Max is crate trained however he doesn’t use his crate anymore. He doesn’t destroy anything that comes through the letterbox, nor does he bark at the front door when someone’s knocks on - in fact, since we’ve had him he’s probably barked less than 10 times, he’s not a very vocal dog. he knows Sit, Paw, Lay down, Up, roll-over, go on then and of course, wanna go for a walk! Max has never bit anyone or anything he’s a gentle giant, the last time he was weighed i think he was around 38kg. fire works don’t bother max either. Max does have food tolerances however, so he is strictly on chicken flavoured dog food, a pint in the morning and same in the evening, each time with 6 pumps of salmon oil, if you give him other foods he does get an upset stomach. when we go on holiday he stays at my aunties house who has a dog, they play like best friends and he’s a joy to have - he’s never stayed in kennels. Max is male 3 years old (30th april 2022) Half brown lab / Half bulldog great with children and other dogs toilet trained, even for long periods. I am not in any rush at all to rehome max, you may think the price for him is expensive, however if you’re willing to pay £400 for a crossbreed 3 year old dog, it says to me that you’re willing to give him a fantastic home - if you message me saying you can’t give me any money but you can give him a great home, you’ll be ignored. i would want regular updates from time to time to whoever has him, it’s going to be so hard letting him go but i literally don’t have a choice. any questions please ask - happy to facetime too.
