To Whom It May Concern,
We are writing to explain the difficult decision we have made regarding the rehoming of our Rottweiler, Ruby.
Ruby is a kind and loving dog who has been a part of our family. However, over time, we have found her increasingly difficult to manage due to her unpredictable behaviour and ongoing anxiety. Despite our best efforts, Ruby does not respond reliably to commands, and her behaviour has unfortunately led to several incidents, including biting and showing signs of unpredictability that have made us concerned for the safety of those around her.
We are especially worried for the safety of my daughter, who struggles to walk Ruby. On one occasion, Ruby pulled so forcefully that it resulted in a severe graze on her hand. These incidents have become too frequent and have taken a toll on our family’s well-being.
We truly believe Ruby deserves a better environment—one with experienced handlers who understand dogs with complex needs and can provide her with the stability, structure, and support she requires. She is a sweet-natured dog at heart, and with the right care, we are confident she can thrive.
This has not been an easy decision, and it is made out of love and a sincere desire to give Ruby the best possible life moving forward. We hope you can assist us in finding her a home that is equipped to meet her needs.
