Due to a relationship breakdown, I have come back to live with my parents along with my Dachshund X, Cooper. Unfortunately, after nearly 6 weeks of trying, their cockerpoo won't accept another dog in the house.
We tried to introduce them gradually, on a walk and then through child gates in the house but nothing has worked, and Cooper is confined to his crate for a lot of the time as I work long hours and they're unable to be together.
Cooper does have an anxiety where men are concerned but once he is over the anxiety he is very loyal. He loves me, my mom, my ex-partner and my two little boys and has lived with cats. He will require work before he becomes social but once he's trusting he will be completely loyal and faithful. He's never been an issue with my two boys but did take some time to warm to adults so please be aware of this. He would benefit from a home where he can have constant attention and affection and play.
I work long hours and am unable to be at home with him very much hence the crate to keep both dogs apart.
Cooper is just a year old, he was sold to us as vaccinated and has no health issues and really deserves a chance at a happy life with the right family.
