Description

It is when an extremely heavy heart that I am looking to re-home my 6-month-old Dachshund. She is a wonderful dog, sweet-natured and affectionate. She’s is not at fault. But she needs a lot of time, patience, and care that unfortunately can not give her due to my busy life. She is amazing with kids and other dogs. I’m extremely sad however I think she deserves all the love and attention! Ideally, she’d go to somebody who knows or really is ready for the commitment these dogs require. So, please do your research on the breed to make sure you understand their needs before taking her in. And I’d love to share more details about her personality or routine if that helps.

Fun-loving and playful by nature

Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise

The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
