Description

💙🐶 MOZART – A Tender Soul Who Needs Safety, Space, and A Person to Trust 🐶💙 🏠 URGENT – LOOKING FOR FOSTER / FOSTER-TO-ADOPT 🏠 📍 UK BASED – WHITBY YO22 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks free insurance provided upon adoption 🌟 💙 Mozart is just over a year old and lower-medium in size, standing softly below the knee, with a gentle, sensitive presence that you feel immediately. He is sweet-natured, polite, and deeply emotional — a dog who wants safety above all else and who struggles when the world feels too big or unpredictable. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Lower-medium (approx. 45 cm, 14 kg) • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Gentle • Sensitive • Submissive • People-oriented • DOGS: Previously lived with dogs and was the object of bullying; now recommended as only dog • CATS: Not tested • CHILDREN: Best with calm, older children 12+ 💔 Rescue Story Mozart’s life began with trauma before he was even born. His heavily pregnant mother was abandoned in a forest, tied to a tree without food, water or shelter. By the time she was found, she was already dangerously weak. She gave birth to two puppies — only Mozart survived. Mozart recently arrived in the UK and was welcomed into a loving, experienced foster-to-adopt home. Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, living alongside a tiny older resident dog proved too overwhelming for him. Under some reason, maybe feeling now big enough to protect himself, remembering past bullying from bigger dogs, Mozart became over protecting and started snapping the little one. Fear and confusion surfaced, and the resident dog became unsettled. The family made the painful but responsible decision to put the welfare of their resident dog first. Mozart is just not coping with sharing his space with another dog at this stage (at least not with small size male dog). 🐾 More About Mozart Mozart is friendly and gentle with people, though initially cautious until he understands he is safe. Once he trusts you, his sweetness shines through. He takes treats delicately from your hand, loves gentle encouragement, and seeks reassurance rather than attention. He is clean in the house during the day, uses the garden well when he has free access, and is learning night-time routines with support. He wants closeness and safety, but confinement behind barriers causes him distress, as does uncertainty about where he belongs. Having lost everything he knew previously, his what he thought was his home and family, Mozart finds the outside world overwhelming right now and freezes when asked to walk, flattening himself to the ground rather than pulling forward. This is not defiance — it is still decompression stage and learning the unknown world he never knew was existing. He needs little time, a week or two, patience, and a quiet environment where confidence can be rebuilt slowly, without pressure. 🏡 Ideal Home Mozart urgently needs a calm, dog-free foster or foster-to-adopt home. He needs quiet, predictability, and one main person to bond with. A peaceful environment, calming mental stimulation, and the freedom to move around without feeling watched or challenged are essential for him to settle. He is not suited to multi-dog households, busy homes. Once he feels secure, Mozart becomes deeply attached, affectionate, and incredibly loyal — but feeling of safety must come first. 💞 Mozart is not a problem dog. He is a lost, gentle young soul who has survived too much and now needs the right setup to decompress and adjust to huge change in his life. If you can offer a calm, dog-free foster home without young children— even temporarily — you could change the course of his life. 🩺 Health Information Mozart is fully healthy, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (licensed laboratory certificate provided). 💌 If you can offer forever or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
