I’m looking for a kind, patient, and experienced home for my beautiful bonded pair of green-cheek Conures, who are approximately 4–5 years old. To the best of our knowledge, they are one male and one female, although they have not been DNA sexed.
These two are a lovely pair, but they can be quite nervous and unsure around people. They weren’t used to being handled much before coming to me, so they need an owner who understands that trust takes time. They can be wary of people getting too close and may bite if they feel uncomfortable, so they aren’t suitable for someone looking for birds that are immediately tame and cuddly.
That said, they are both very curious and love being spoken to. They enjoy watching what’s happening around them and have made some lovely progress since I’ve had them. With regular interaction, patience, and encouragement, they are slowly becoming more comfortable.
They will both step up onto my finger, although one is more comfortable with handling than the other. They have also become much more confident about coming out of their cage to explore. I leave their cage open during the day, and they happily come out, although they generally don’t venture too far away from it.
I truly believe that with the right person, plenty of patience, and a calm environment, these two could make wonderful companions. They just need someone who is willing to let them settle in and build a relationship at their own pace.

* I have also been introducing them to fruits and vegetables to help improve their diet.
Reason for rehoming:
This is a decision I haven’t taken lightly, but I’m moving into a smaller house soon, and unfortunately, it won’t be the most suitable environment for having pets. I want to make sure these two find a home where they have the space, attention, and care they need to be happy.
I’m in no rush to sell them. Their happiness and finding the right home are much more important to me than making a quick sale.
