Benji had no easy start in life. He was rescued as a young pup from the public (kill) shelter, where his chances of survival were slim. Now -safe in a private shelter- he is waiting for the one thing he truly needs : a Loving Home where he can begin his real life. The shelter is not the right place for him ; Benji needs stability, patience, and kindness.

🏷 Type: based on appearance, Benji is possibly a Lurcher - a mix with Whippet and terrier influences. This gives him his elegant, slender build combined with an alert and lively expression.
Looks & charm
Benji is a graceful little dog with his sleek black coat, white chest, and long, slender legs. His gentle, somewhat shy gaze makes him instantly endearing - not a dog that shouts for attention, but one that quietly steals your heart.
Character
Benji gets along well with other dogs and finds comfort in their presence, though this is not a requirement if his people can give him the attention and support he needs. Towards people, he is still a shy boy. He likes to watch first, to take his time, and to learn at his own pace who he can trust.
Once he feels safe, his soft and loyal nature will begin to shine through – and he will win your heart forever. He just needs the time to unfold gently, like a flower blooming in its own rhythm, showing its full beauty only when it feels secure.
Ideal home
Benji is looking for adopters who:
- Have patience, love and understanding for a sensitive young dog.
- Can offer him a stable, calm environment, without small children or too much noise.
- Have a secure, dog-proof garden (min. 1.80 m fencing) where he can safely explore without pressure.
- Ideally have some experience with shy or sensitive dogs.
His future
Benji is still so young and deserves the chance to start his true life now. With the right family by his side, he will grow into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. We hope he can soon leave the shelter behind and find the peaceful, loving home he so badly needs.

We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt TEDDY.
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be !
We do not encourage breeding and we are actively involved in actions of neutering stray dogs.
Should you adopt him, BENJI will reside as a PET in your Home and will be well looked-after and loved !
You will also agree to keep in touch with us - so we can help with any issues.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not covering the costs !
We keep in touch with all adopters - more than 500 families, so far. On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
We receive a high number of pointless messages or calls and we do not afford wasting time…
