What should have been warm, safe end-of-year days ended instead in heartbreak in Nottingham.
After years spent in a Romanian shelter—years of waiting, cold nights and life behind bars—Izzy & Marley were finally allowed to leave. A long, exhausting journey from Romania to the UK, filled with hope. Hope of rest. Hope of belonging. Hope of finally being home.
But less than 24 hours after arrival, they were abandoned again.
Not because they did anything wrong.
Not because they were difficult.
But because the adopter only then realised she had not yet processed the loss of her previous dogs.
And so these two gentle souls had to leave immediately!!!
They don’t understand what happened.
First hope. Then goodbye.
And now… back behind bars.
💔 Why this story hurts so deeply
Izzy & Marley have already lost so much.
What they thought was behind them suddenly caught up again.
The only thing they still truly have is each other.
That is why we are strongly want a joint adoption— because together they find calm, comfort and security, they only have had eachother their whole lives.
🌟 Who are Izzy & Marley?
Izzy is a soft, golden-red cuddle bear with a rough, fluffy coat and a curled plume tail. She is enormously gentle, people-oriented and longs for closeness.
Marley is a very sweet boy with a unique panda-masked face, a loyal gaze and a calm, affectionate nature.
Both dogs are:
social with other dogs
friendly, easy-going and human-focused
exhausted from waiting
ready to finally be allowed to stay
