Description
Bonded brother and sister ginger Arabian Maus for adoption. Please do note their history & requirements before considering adopting them.
They are wonderful characters: very playful, utterly food-motivated, and can be rather chatty - much like Siamese cats.
History: they were rescued from Dubai in 2024 each had somehow lost a back paw. They were taken to the vets and subsequently had to have the leg amputated. However, you’d never know it as they run, jump and play with great gusto! We flew them over to the UK and have had them for about six months.
Ongoing care: due to his previous trauma, Fred developed some tummy troubles and was also on Gabapentin for a while to help chill him out. The vet also recommended they both have white fish (instead of cat food), and gastro-friendly crunchies, which has helped hugely. *This will need to be continued.* They do have Licky Lix for treats and love them!
Characters: Fred is a big boy who loves a lap and lots of strokes and is a bit of a doofus. Ginny is small and plays fetch for hours. She is less of a lap cat, but loves to jump and play. She can be scared and hide if strangers are around, or there is a loud or strange noise. She has loads of affection for her people though.
They enjoy using a large cat tree, which we are happy to donate along with them, if needed, and Ginny has a fluffy bed she particularly loves which we will also send with her. They will have some favourite toys to bring with them as well.
Note: Fred really needs to be the only boy cat (hence why we must get them adopted), so we are looking for a family who do not currently have another boy cat. He may be fine with another girl. Don’t know about dogs, but I think they’d be fine.
They are currently indoor cats due to a busy road, but could happily be outside if it is safe for them.
They are wonderful, purr-filled lovelies and we would absolutely keep them if we could, but Fred just does not get along with our original cat. Fred has been very aggressive towards him.
Breed: Arabian Maus are very interactive, loyal, and chatty cats who love their human’s company and enjoy lots of entertaining and play. We love them, and so will you!
A price is required for this ad, but we are not asking for any money for them - just a happy new forever home
