Description
Once upon a time in a home filled with laughter, code, and the scent of fresh veggies, four charming peach-faced lovebird chicks hatched into the world. Now just over six weeks old, these little featherballs are healthy, strong, and thriving, thanks to their doting mama and papa, who fed them everything from crunchy greens to warm steamed egg, with a side of premium seeds and millet spray for dessert.
And guess what? These cheeky little legends have just cracked the ultimate level of birdy independence, they’ve learned to open millet shells all by themselves! Like tiny "seed-samurai", they peck and nibble with fierce determination, proudly showing off their new skill (usually while sitting in their food bowl, or hand of course). They’re now happily eating on their own.
They’ve been semi-hand-reared, so they’re not just used to humans, they expect silly voices, touching hand, and curious fingers. Their parents are semi-tame too. Not only do they interact, they boss you around when it's time to fluff a nest, share your snack, or sort their newspaper collection.
Meet the Chicks:
✨ Cinder: Smoky, sleek, and always the first to explore
💚 Bobo: The only girl of the bunch (as far as we can tell!), clever, confident and full of sass
🔥 Soul: Quiet observer turned millet-chomping champion
💙 Blue Floof, A bold splash of colour, bright, brave, curious and full of spark
But wait! There’s more...
Enma, the Feathered Prince
Born 18/12/2024, Enma is now a 6-month-old fluffy gentleman and the original royal of the household. Nearly hand-reared, Enma is:
A watch-wearer’s best friend
A wrist-band destroyer
A snack enthusiast who politely (or not lol) demands treats from your hand
A shoulder napper, palm sitter, and soft-feathered sidekick
An avid lovebird video binge-watcher (yes, seriously)
And of course, a proud tenant of his hanging coconut castle by the window
But alas, his peaceful kingdom has recently been invaded by four bouncing siblings and two battle-hardened bird parents. His only crime? Wishing for snacks and sitting on your palm in peace.
Why Are Their Beaks Black?
If you're wondering about those adorable inky little beaks, no need to worry at all!
Lovebird chicks under 3 months naturally have black beaks, which gradually fade into peach or ivory as they grow. It’s one of the cutest signs that they’re still in their baby phase. Cherish it while it lasts!
Mom and Dad Are NOT for Sale
Our majestic queen and wise king, the loving mama and papa are not for sale. They’re staying right here, ruling their papery kingdom and raising future generations of feathered mischief-makers.
Why Are They Looking for New Homes?
As a humble programmer and bird butler, I’m now under siege by lovebird-led singalongs and wing-flapping riots during working hours. It's time these little adventurers find new castles, brave humans, and soft hands to perch on.
