Description
He is working well in the school but ,obviously being young he is green and being a Cob he can be stubborn and does have the odd buck. He needs a capable rider to be firm and fair with him and continue his schooling work.
Cowboy will hack alone or in company with mares or geldings, he will lead or go behind . He is great in all traffic, with pushbikes, dogs providing ur confident . If he thinks he can get away with it he will spook nothing nasty just a jump to the side . He just needs someone confident onboard to keep their leg on and talk him through it . ( see videos )
He will come to whistle or call from his paddock (I swear he thinks he’s a dog) and will stand to have headcollar on and wait for you to open/close gates etc. he shares a paddock with 1 horse so easy to get in / out .
Cowboy is good to handle most of the time as long as ur firm , and he loves to be groomed but can fidget when being tacked up, but again hes young he just needs patience.
I have taken him on outings to Nercwys forest and he’s been around backford/chester zoo a couple of times , alone and in company . He has also been to a couple of desensitising classes.
He is up to date with vaccines ,working and farrier and tack / wardrobe is available at extra cost.
Cowboys has amazing potential for someone who has the experience of bringing on young horses .
Good for the farrier and will load with a stud muffin to hand.
Cowboy is also target trained and will also give kisses on asking . He has recently started jumping and will clear 70cm without a thought but this has just been messing around in arena never done anything serious with him.
