We are delighted to announce that our beautiful Golden Retriever Saffy has safely welcomed her first litter into the world. On 11th October, Saffy gave birth to five gorgeous puppies - three boys and two girls. Mum and puppies are all thriving, and Saffy has taken to motherhood wonderfully. We couldn't be prouder of how caring, attentive and natural she has been with her babies. A wonderful family has already reserved first choice of the girls but has not yet selected between them. As is tradition in our home, each puppy has been given a coloured collar and a temporary name while they are with us. 🐾 3 Boys Available Black Collar, named Spuds Brown Collar, named French Fry Blue Collar, named Sausage 🐾 2 Girls (only 1 available TBC) Pink Collar, named Cinnamon Bun Bun Yellow Collar, named Lemon The puppies will be ready to join their forever families from 6th December. Meet Mum - Saffy (Saffron) Saffy is our much-loved family dog. She lives in our busy family home alongside our children, other dogs and two cats. She is the gentlest of souls, affectionate, intelligent and everything we love about the Golden Retriever breed. Saffy adores being with her family, whether she's out on an adventure, swimming or curled up next to us for cuddles. She has a lovely, calm nature and is fantastic with children. She is cream with slight golden hues along her back, has an athletic build and enjoys running at full pelt over the fields or local woods. She is also very good around other dogs, large or small. Watching her care for her puppies has been a joy. Despite this being her first litter, she has been an exceptional mum from day one. Meet Dad – Riley Riley lives at home near the Kent coast with his family, a well-respected breeder. Riley is cream in colour with black points (nose/pads) and boasts an impressive, strong physique. He has a lovely, gentle temperament which is what we looked for when selecting a stud. Riley is KC registered as ‘Riley Gaellida Mieszko’ and excellent hip (3/3) and elbow (0/0) scores. He is CLEAR of all other markers on heart, eyes, ICT, PRA. His family describe him as a big teddy bear. Health & Breeding This litter has been carefully planned with health, temperament and future wellbeing as the priority. Both parents have completed all relevant health testing and have excellent pedigrees. Health certificates and pedigree information are available for prospective families to view. We expect these puppies to develop into beautiful, well-balanced Golden Retrievers with the loving, family-orientated temperaments for which the breed is so well known. About Us We're Tom and Michelle, with four children (three at home), five dogs, and two cats. All of our animals will be involved in the puppies first 8 weeks, with dog aunties giving mum some respite through play and two cats teasing the puppies into chasing them. Dogs are very much part of our family life and raising puppies is something we genuinely enjoy. We are committed to breeding healthy, well-socialised puppies and finding them loving, lifelong homes. Our puppies are raised in our home and are exposed to everyday family life, household noises, visitors, children and plenty of cuddles from the moment they arrive. Many of our previous puppy families remain in touch, and we regularly organise reunions where dogs can meet up with siblings, parents and their extended puppy family. Our Golden Retriever Tessa (Saffy’s mum) is an Essex Therapy Dog, and temperament is something we place huge importance on in our breeding programme. Families who reserve a puppy will also be invited into our dedicated puppy group, where we share regular photos, videos and updates so that you can watch your puppy grow during their first eight weeks with us. We know how exciting the wait can be, so we want you to feel involved every step of the way. Finding The Right Homes Our puppies mean the world to us, and finding the very best homes is vital. We ask that prospective owners can provide a safe and loving home, appropriate exercise and enrichment, quality nutrition and healthcare and a lifelong commitment to their dog. Prospective families will be asked to complete a questionnaire and have a video call with us before reserving a puppy. A sales contract will be provided to protect both parties and, most importantly, the puppy. We are always available for advice and support before and after your puppy comes home. Please do not apply for a puppy if you do not have your own garden. Visits & Puppy Selection We believe choosing a puppy should be about much more than appearance alone. As personalities develop, we'll help guide families towards the puppy best suited to their lifestyle, whether that's an active family companion, a calmer family pet or somewhere in between. Puppies are selected in reservation order once they are old enough for their individual personalities to begin shining through. At 4 weeks old, you can visit to meet them but choosing day is not until 6 weeks, as we need to let their personalities come out first. We'd Love To Hear From You If you're looking for a loving, well-socialised Golden Retriever puppy raised in a family environment, we'd be delighted to hear from you. We normally advertise before puppies are born and they are usually reserved before birth, but we were late getting the advert on this time around. With just three boys and one girl currently available, we expect reservations to fill quickly.
