MAKIS ❤️ - 12 yrs old , hound mix
Currently in the Brecon , area wales uk but can travel - a healthy 12 yr old , has leishmania , controlled and stable
Makis travelled to the UK as a permanent foster July 20th due to the fact he'd lost literally everything in Cyprus . His elderly owner died suddenly 😔 then he and his lifelong companion had to go to the shelter where upon a few weeks later his best doggy friend died too 😢
Makis was not coping with kennel life at all
He stopped eating , became very stressed , he gave up on life
Hes still very thin from all the worry 😟
Now in the UK with a wonderful fosterer , after passing his cat test in Cyprus , he's chasing and frightening the two resident cats. It seems old Makis is very interested in cats ! But as a result, he now needs to move again
Makis needs a permanent foster home quickly .
He's been a phenomenal boy besides, fitted in with the pack, dog friendly , housetrained .a bit barky for attention but this calms down once he realises your staying and he's safe. He's appreciated the security of a thunder jacket which has given him comfort
Apart from chasing the cats ! He's been completely golden , hasn't put a paw wrong ! Gentle sweet affectionate , sociable, his fosterer is so upset he can't stay but she has to consider her cats
We want Makis to live out the time he has left in a loving home
Yes, he's an old boy , yet there's still plenty of life in this old dog! He's pretty agile and quick off the mark still .Enjoys his walks still
He's an easy going dog ,he's got on so well with the resident dogs from the get go ,bonded nicely with one in particular
Makis has leishmania , a condition common amongst dogs in the Mediterranean region .His needs are stable, his health is good .He requires twice daily tablets. He has a 6 month supply however as a permanent foster , the charity would continue to cover his medication and vet bill costs
Makis could live with other dogs with ease .He'd love a home with maybe older fit couple .although he enjoys the company of people in general , as long as his new foster home allowed him some peace and quiet at times. He loves cuddles and kisses, soft sofas and interesting walks
This boy has suffered so much loss
And here he is again, losing his foster home that he's already settled into so well in just one week
He deserves a comfy retirement, the reason he made the trip to the uk .
Makis isn't neutered due to his age and anesthetic risk however he's easy going around girls and not a pest !
If someone can find it in their hearts to love and old boy selflishy , who's suffered enough , who needs a forever home to live out his last days , please message
