The Labradoodle is the result of crossing a Labrador Retriever with a Standard or Miniature Poodle and first appeared on the scene in the mid 1950s. They are very energetic dogs and some of them have coats that shed very little. Because of this, they are often used as assistance dogs for people who suffer from allergies. Labradoodles are one of the most popular designer crosses to appear on the scene recently, and for good reason, as not only do they look adorable, but they are also intelligent, charming dogs that are a pleasure to have around.
