Labradoodle Puppies for sale in Oxford, Oxfordshire

The Labradoodle is a delightful fusion of the Labrador Retriever and Poodle breeds, celebrated for its intelligence, friendly temperament, and hypoallergenic qualities. This popular doodle breed comes in multiple generations to suit different allergy needs and preferences: F1 Labradoodles are a 50/50 first-generation cross with variable coat types ranging from straight to curly, though many shed and are not ideal for severe allergies. F1B Labradoodles (75% Poodle, 25% Labrador) offer wavy to curly, low-shedding fleece coats perfect for allergy sufferers. For maximum hypoallergenic qualities, F1BB Labradoodles (87.5% Poodle) provide highly non-shedding coats with minimal dander. Multigen Labradoodles (third generation and beyond) offer the most predictable traits with consistent low-to-non-shedding wool or fleece coats and stable temperaments—ideal for families seeking a reliable, allergy-friendly companion.

Originating in Australia where the purebred form is known as the Australian Cobberdog, Labradoodles feature unique curly or wavy coats in stunning shades of cream, apricot, chocolate, and black. Available in three sizes—mini Labradoodles (14-16 inches, 16-25 lbs), medium Labradoodles (17-20 inches, 30-45 lbs), and standard Labradoodles (21-24 inches, 50-65 lbs)—these versatile dogs excel in therapy, assistance, and companion roles. Labradoodles are intelligent, friendly, and eager to please, making them highly trainable for agility and obedience work, especially well-suited for first-time dog owners. Grooming requirements vary by generation: while all need regular brushing to maintain their fleece or wool-like coats, F1B, F1BB, and Multigen varieties require more frequent professional grooming to prevent matting in their curlier, non-shedding coats. Their gentle, welcoming nature makes them excellent family dogs for households with children and other pets, thriving in active homes that provide attention, stimulation, and daily exercise.
