The unique appearance of an Affenpinscher cannot be overlooked, as these small dogs have a monkey-like face. They are also known as Monkey Terrier, Affie, Affen. They boast of being one of the oldest Toy breeds, and their lineage can be traced back to the 17th century. They were first bred in Germany, but today these little dogs have found their way to other parts of the world, including here in the UK where they are usually kept as companion dogs.
