Known for blending the Bernese’s loyalty with the Poodle’s sharp wit, Bernedoodles are affectionate, eager to learn, and wonderful companions for families with children or other pets.
Bernedoodles come in several generations—such as F1, F1b, F1bb, and F2b—each offering different coat predictability and hypoallergenic qualities. F1 Bernedoodles are a 50/50 mix of Bernese and Poodle, often with a wavy, minimal-shedding coat. F1b Bernedoodles, created by breeding an F1 with a Poodle, are typically around 75% Poodle and have curlier, more allergy-friendly coats. F1bb Bernedoodles (about 87.5% Poodle) are among the most hypoallergenic, with tight Poodle-like curls and very low shedding. F2b Bernedoodles, bred from an F1 and an F1b, are roughly 62.5% Poodle and 37.5% Bernese, offering a reliably low-shed, curly or wavy coat and excellent suitability for allergy sufferers.
