Chugs were developed by crossing a Pug with a Chihuahua and are not recognised as a breed by the Kennel Club and other international breed clubs (as of October 2017), but are classed as "designer or hybrid dogs". The result of crossing two pure breeds, Chugs have become an extremely popular small dog both here in the UK and elsewhere in the world - and for good reason. Not only do Chugs look adorable and have inherited many of the physical traits of their parent breeds, but they are also very friendly, affectionate and loyal.
