Shihpoo Puppies for sale in Lincoln, Lincolnshire

5 Shihpoo Puppies for sale in Lincoln, Lincolnshire

The Shihpoo, also known as Shoodle, is a relatively new cross breed developed from the Shih Tzu and either a Miniature or Toy Poodle. They are cute little dogs that can have the curlier coat of the Poodle or the longer and much straighter coat of the Shih Tzu, depending on which of the parent breeds the puppies are whelped on, although it should be noted that puppies in the same litter can look quite different and have a variety of colours and colour combinations.

How much does a Shihpoo puppy cost?

The average cost of a purebred Shihpoo puppy in the United Kingdom is approximately £652, though prices can vary based on factors such as pedigree, breeder reputation, and location.

What are the pros and cons of a Shihpoo?

A Shihpoo combines the small size and friendly nature of both Shih Tzus and Poodles, making it a great companion for families and apartment living. However, they can be prone to health issues from both breeds and require regular grooming to prevent matting. Overall, they're affectionate pets but need consistent care and socialization.

What is the life expectancy of a Shihpoo?

The average life expectancy of a Shihpoo is around 10 to 15 years. Proper care, a healthy diet, and regular veterinary checkups can help ensure they live a long, healthy life.

Is Shihpoo a high maintanance dog?

The Shihpoo, a mix between a Shih Tzu and a Poodle, can be moderately high maintenance due to its grooming needs. Regular brushing and occasional professional grooming are necessary to prevent matting. Additionally, they require consistent exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy.

Is a Shihpoo a good house dog?

Yes, Shihpoos are generally good house dogs. They are friendly, affectionate, and adapt well to indoor living due to their small size. Additionally, they are usually good with families and other pets.
