Hi I am Sam and although I have owned and bred different breeds before this is my first Whippet Doris. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old ( she’s just turned 5 ) and she really is my best friend and companion. I researched a lot before deciding on a breed because I knew I wanted a short haired low maintenance dog in terms of grooming and shedding . I also wanted a quiet and sensitive dog who is emotionally intelligent ( yes there is such a thing! ) A dog who would love to walk. enjoy food and sleep lots ( just like me 😂 ) Doris is all of the above and very true to her breed standard . As is daddy dog Sonic who loves the zoomies and is great around children and very chilled . All pups are similar in size, colour and temperament just like both parents so you know what to expect. From an early age Doris has come to work with me when I had a shop in Beaconsfield and being around people and children has been very much part of her life . More recently we moved to London and Doris quickly adapted to city life going on the tubes and bus to go to work in a film studios some days ( she loves the arts !) During the winter her wardrobe is bigger than mine with coats for every occasion 😂🩷. Until a year ago Doris shared our home with a lovely tabby cat and like most dogs they can live in harmony if introduced early enough. She also has great recall and is good off the lead where she loves to run - at speed !! Just mind the squirrels !! Having a whippet in your life is magical as long as your happy to share your sofa ! ( and occasionally your bed ! ) 🐶😂💙
