This is a very hard decision for us as a family and not something I really want to do but our beautiful KC registered Cocker Spaniel Darcie is very wary around children so I feel we are being forced into this decision. We have seen a behaviourist and vet who also agree she would be a happier dog with no children living in the house.
Im looking for the best home for Darcie without children. She can be amazing with the children one minute loves doing tricks with them but then growl and snap the next. It has never been a hard bite but I feel I can't take that chance. Older teenagers would be a totally different story I think as my children are only 5 and 8.
She has completed puppy classes and has not had a season yet so has not be spayed.
Apart from that she is very loving with adults, loves to sit with you on the sofa, very obedient, loves learning new tricks, amazing off lead, loves other dogs and adults.
She's used to someone working from home the majority of the time. Happy to be left for short periods of time. We can go out at a weekend for 4 hours and I see her on the camera very chilled out. But I wouldn't want her to be rehomed with somebody out to work several hours every day.
