🐾 Loving Home Wanted for Reiya – 16 Month Old Affectionate, Well-Trained Dog 🐾
Meet Reiya, a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent 16-month-old dog looking for her forever home. She has had a wonderful start in life with lots of compassionate training, and now she needs a family who can give her the time, attention, and space she deserves.
✨ About Reiya:
• Age: 16 months
• Temperament: Loving, loyal, playful, and affectionate
• Training: Very well-trained – knows sit, stay, lie down, and has excellent recall. She loves playing fetch and can follow multiple commands while retrieving.
• Crate trained: Comfortable being left in her crate for short periods (1–3 hours) if she’s had exercise and stimulation.
• Training style: Responds beautifully to positive reinforcement (food and toys). She has also been trained with an e-collar (used only as a gentle communication tool, not correction) and prong collar for kind, low-force leash guidance.
• Social: Has lived happily with another dog, walks calmly past cats, and is not aggressive.
• Indoors: Calm and quiet, only barks when someone is at the door. Loves to cuddle.
• Outdoors: Energetic and playful – enjoys the beach, woods, and open fields to run and chase the ball. Settles well after exercise.
• Grooming: Short coat, easy to maintain with brushing 1–2 times a week.
• Health: Fully vaccinated and microchipped.
✨ Current road blocks:
• High energy that comes out vocally. She will bark when very excited and overstimulated - this can be with people she recognises, or pet-friends.
• Protective over my girlfriend and I whilst around dogs she doesn’t recognise.
✨ What Reiya Needs:
Reiya thrives with one-on-one engagement, regular training, and an active lifestyle. An ideal home would have:
• A secure garden to play and explore
• A family who can continue her training and provide daily exercise
• Plenty of love and companionship
• Additional socialisation around dogs
She can also come with her e-collar and prong collar for an additional price.
