Description

Alma is a (nearly) 2 year old female dachshund who is spayed. Due to our personal situation, we are having to make the sad decision to rehome our beautiful lively girl. Alma is semi-blind in one eye due to a cat scratch injury when she was young, but this doesn’t affect her day to day. Alma is a healthy and happy girl, who would benefit from an experienced owner and even a canine brother or sister. Alma gets along well with dogs and cats, and does love children but has not lived with children. Alma is very active, as a typical dachshund, but also enjoys her sleep time in the evening (in our bed with us). We will provide food, toys and beds for Alma’s new family, as well as her KC certificate. We will also provide a routine of her usual day. Feel free to reach out with questions, and serious adoptees only please as this is a very hard time for us.

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
