She has a rear dew claw, which is simply an extra small claw located slightly higher up on the back leg. Many dogs are born with this naturally.
A rear dew claw does not cause pain, illness, or any health problems and does not affect her ability to walk, run, or play. It is a harmless physical feature — similar to a birthmark — and does not mean anything is wrong with her.
Some owners choose to leave it as it is; others may remove it during a routine vet visit later in life if they wish. Either option is perfectly safe.
