Pair of Black hooded red siskins male and female pair. Male has a blue leg band female has none. Unrelated pair however won't be sold just for breeding in a small cage - this species need a decent aviary space to fly they are a relatively small and active species with a beautiful song. They need sunflower and Niger in their diet and therefore ideally need to be housed with birds that can also eat the same without becoming fat. They need a well planted aviary they thrive being able to hide in the bushes.
Red siskins can live with other placid finches in a large aviary. They should not be housed with pushy or aggressive finches or birds of a much larger size as this will stress them.
Pair were hatched 2023 I believe and have been living indoors and deserve their future in an appropriate outdoor aviary.
