Benji is 4.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with flea and worming. He’s very healthy, playful, sometimes very funny with his zoomies, and generally a lovely companion who also enjoys his own space.
Unfortunately, there is a rival cat on our estate that comes to the patio door and when he does, Benji gets really frightened and worked up and he lashes out at whoever is nearby. While this has only happened in response to that rival cat, we have a 5 month baby in the house we can’t risk it happening again. It breaks our hearts, but we need to put our little one’s safety first 🙃
He has been on the RSCPA waitlist for almost 2 months and don't want to have to unsettle him with a move, just to have to unsettle him again to go to a boarding facility, then unsettle him again when he is adopted - it just doesn't seem fair, so that's why I've taken to posting here 🥲
Because of the previous aggression in response to this other cat, Benji would be best suited to:
🐱 A home without children
🐱 A home without other pets
🐱 Someone with experience of cats and patience
🐱 Ideally in a home that isn’t on a main road, as he does LOVE going outdoors
We love Benji dearly, and we want to make sure he finds the right, safe environment where he can be happy and thrive.
