I have been living in the hospital with my sick child the last 6 months. Everything has lasted much longer than expected. I have been trying to pop home when i can, but i cannot offer an ethical or fair standard of care when I am living so far away. I have therefore taken the hard and heart breaking decision to close the hamstery temporarily. I need to rehome the more than half of the hamsters to be fair on them. Everything has been unexpected and a medically complex child was never part of the plan. I love these animals dearly and I am doing this in their best interests. If you are able to help in adopting please get in touch. You name it Ive probably got it - ages, coats, colours, personalities. All my adults are very tame. I have some pups from an accidental litter that need.
IMy initial plan is to reduce the hamstery by half. I will be keeping a few from my lines and my elderly and sickly hamsters. I am hoping this makes it more manageable for the time being. I have around 25-30 hamsters for adoption including pups from when a naughty mummy escaped. All adults are very tame and personal pets. The pups do need a bit more taming as i have been short with time. Most hamsters are Syrians although i have a few dwarfs for adoption. I am currently working my way through photography. I will include info about what they are and their personalities. I can then arrange collection from next week onwards. I will not be opening the hamstery for visits as I usually do due to time constraints. However, i quickly show people any selected hamsters relatives. Please bear with me as i do this.
Note: Due to drastically needing to reduce the hamstery in a short space of time hamsters will be free to a good home. Enclosures are not included.
Update: Due to the number of people messaging and the time it is taking to photograph and make appropriate adverts and needing to space collections I am going to be uploading a few at a time and ill ping everyone who has already messaged to let them know. If you wish to adopt one of the advertised hamsters please message. If you are not seeing what you are looking for yet, no need to message I will keep pinging you each time i upload. This process will likely take me weeks given I am trying to care for a sick child at the same time.
