Meet Hamish (the gentle dreamer) and Harvey (the curious explorer) – two bonded 8 year old brothers who balance each other like yin and yang.
Hamish is soft and sweet, a quietly curious lad who prefers affection on his own terms. When new people visit, he may slip away at first, but by the second or third meeting he’ll be right there, even rolling over for belly rubs. He’s thoughtful and steady, happiest when he has a calm space and time to build trust.
Harvey, in contrast, is the bold and outgoing one. He’ll trot right up to new friends without hesitation, always eager to explore and investigate. Playful and spirited, Harvey will chase a crinkly ball or a rolled-up bit of paper in a flash, while Hamish prefers a gentle string or wand toy. Both are laser fanatics, though they like to finish their games with a proper toy to pounce on.
Together, they’re a bit like an old married couple – they sometimes have a cheeky chase or a shared case of the zoomies, but mostly they co-exist peacefully, snoozing in the same room and keeping tabs on each other. Harvey often follows Hamish around, while Hamish quietly relies on Harvey’s confidence.
These boys love plenty of cat trees and vertical scratchers to climb and stretch on. They haven’t lived with kids, dogs, or other cats, but with their adaptable natures, a patient, quiet home could be a lovely fit, with flexibility for new friends (feline, canine or young human!).
