Description ‘Mowgli’
‘There’s no place like home...I wish’ Available for Adoption
Mowgli in three sentences
The epitome of endurance though like the WWII veterans he doesn’t think of himself as brave, courageous or strong- it’s just what he did- survive through it all. This sensitive lad is the soft breeze of forgiveness that brings so much admiration & motivation to your world

In the words of leesa
I love language & I believe it to be effective. When it’s redundant it says far more. I am silenced when I consider Mowgli & others like him but the quiet doesn’t help to find him a home. His plight & the pathetic journey towards salvation to the true sense of the word is so pitiful that it’s a closing of the eyes and an exhalation of breath. It’s their desire for life & love NO MATTER WHAT that is the most chilling & heart fracturing aspect in the ‘relationship’ between cruelty & canine.
That Mowgli could -after his tail was cut off with no aesthetic of course and after he was beaten -yearn for acceptance & kindness is incomprehensible to me. It’s also tragic. At some point Mowgli approached someone - probably tricked into it with food- he trusted because he
was no doubt desperate - and the intentions of that person was to take an animal already suffering & cause them more horror- just for kicks.
That warped, torturous & distorted culture has something intrinsically wrong with it. Mowgli is not defined by his past. We are! He shows us the spirit of survival, courage & what it is to crave a sense of belonging & to be known. That’s what he wants and he’s putting all his fears & past experiences behind him to get it. I’d be rocking in a corner if someone sliced a part of my anatomy off- not Mowgli- instead he’s trying life out on a lead, tip- toeing forward & punctuating the warm day with strokes & hopefulness. His path from petrified to responding to gentleness took just 3 weeks. He was destitute & abused for a total of two years so the time frame is as phenomenal as he is..... Mowgli is a handsome validation of the gift of time & the message I constantly reinstate ‘not feral- displaced’.
Please can someone give this delicate & gracious boy a share of your bed & something to believe in? Don’t we all need that?
