Im sadly looking for a new home for my 2 year old miniature dachshund, due to a big change in personal circumstances. Louis is a lovely miniature dachshund and really loves his long walks and lots of cuddles and attention at home. Louis can be very nervous and is generally a bit wary of men but does warm up to them as long as they are calm and let him approach them on his terms. He has been around other family members dogs and has been ok but can be reactive to dogs he doesn’t know when out walking. I have young children and have never had a single problem with Louis, he’s usually following them around and loves to cuddle and play fetch with them but due to the fact he can be nervous I feel that a family without small children would be best for him. Louis also lives with a cat but can be a bit too boisterous sometimes. Louis is house trained but does need some more training, especially outside of the home (he’s very stubborn). I no longer allow Louis off the lead on walks as he started bolting, i now use a longline on his harness. Please message me if you are interested and feel like you have a suitable home for Louis.
