Description

This is Marshall, he is the best boy. He is just coming up for 10 months old. I'll start off with the main reason we are looking to rehome. He has started warning snapping at my two teenagers. There has been a couple instances for this happening but a couple of times when they have just been walking past him when resting. We also have a 2 year old (He has not snapped at and seems to tolerate more) He is also extremely territorial/anxious of the house when visitors come round and when we go to the office its the same. He will tolerate people when out on a walk but does not like them in his personal space or trying to pet him. We have just been to the vet and they have said its anxiety and suggested putting him on medication. Personally id say he is a very nervous dog around people he doesnt know and feel he would be better suited to an adult only home. We know he is only young but after receiving advice from a border collie behaviourist we feel the best thing for him would be to find him a new home as he wont ever be safe enough to be around the children He has great recall for his age and really enjoys playing with his hoop. Started trying scenting games with him but is just starting out with this. He's a soppy boy with people he knows and is used to. He comes to work with me 3 days a week. Mostly been fine with dogs unless they are charging across a field at him or trying to steal his toy. He really needs to go to the best home with someone experienced with the breed and dogs with anxiety. If you want to know any more please get in touch. This is a touch decision but we just want marsh to be happy and our girls to be safe.
