DescriptionTILLY - in foster (Falmouth) - for foster/adoption (URGENT FOSTER)
Female - 30kgs - Aged 3
Tilly is a wonderful dog who is very loyal, playful and charismatic. Sadly, her current guardians are needing to find a new home for her because her present living situation is inappropriate for her needs, and is exacerbating unhealthy behaviours.
She is happiest and most at ease when she can stay in the company of a human who she trusts, and she prefers not to be left alone for too long. A change in her guardian's circumstances has meant that she is being left for longer than she is able to cope with. This is causing her to feel quite anxious.
Tilly needs a quieter house and environment with few visitors, as she has strong guarding behaviours. She becomes quite stressed having to deal with a busy world when out and about too, including seeing other dogs. Therefore she would suit somewhere quiet and rural where an alert dog may be more beneficial.
It is likely that all the stressors in Tilly's world (as she experiences them) are just all a bit too much for her. Her guardians have done all they to help her, and they love her very much, but it seems that the main solution for her issues is to find her a quieter environment/world to live in.
In an ideal world, Tilly would like a quiet home with a good sized garden for her to run about in (and/or access to a secure enclosure), and lots of quiet walks with her person/people so she can unwind and relax again. She is very much loved and she loves her humans so much in return. It may take a few visits for her to transfer/extend this bond to someone else, but she'll be well worth it.
Initially, we are more concerned with just moving Tilly out of the environment that she is in and so a foster placement is more of a priority than an adoption. That's not to say that the foster could not lead to an adoption.
