Rocky is an amazing boy who has so much character and love, and through no fault of his own, needs an equally loving new home.
Due to personal health issues and recent changes which will have an impact in caring for our handsome Rocky in the future, we have had to make the decision now, to find him a new home.
Rocky is a 16 month old Siberian Husky, he has a wonderful character and is great with people of all ages. (A typical trait of the Siberian Husky)
He is house trained and responsive to commands, walks well on the lead and loves being off lead out in the countryside (although his recall still needs working on and would only suggest having him off lead in a safe environment with additional training & when confident with you).
Rocky is a medium to large male dog who can be bouncy and energetic at times and thus needs a good amount of exercise.
We normally walk him 10k minimum per day during 2 walks, but frequently much more, and although he will be happy even with less outings, we would prefer him to go to able and fit owners who can walk him with this in mind, he would especially be suited to active and sporty owners who may enjoy jogging & or hiking.
Rocky is very good in the house, but cannot be left alone for too long at the moment. He never ruins any furniture, fixtures or fittings, but may shred letters etc when bored after being left alone in the house for long durations, but then again, he is still a puppy, however well behaved he is most of the time.
He is a great traveller in the car, distances are not an issue for him.
He sleeps on the floor beside our bed and will only gently disturb us in the morning when he is sure we are awake in bed, he is such a sensitive young boy.
He loves the company of all 4 of our own grandchildren, which are aged between 3 & 10 and loves visitors of all kinds.
Rocky really is a gem, he just wants for company, love, a bit of mental stimulation and a couple of walks a day, with longer countryside walk on the weekend.
We are really sad to let him go, but know, if we find the right home for him now, it's for a happier life for him and his new family.
All his medical history is up to date and he was castrated a few months ago, he is chipped and has regular health checks with full medical record available prior to release.
Rocky gets attention everywhere he goes, walking in the streets or out in the fields, sitting in the pubs & cafes, he is a most stunning dog, and he knows it and plays on it.
We have some accessories which may be available on Rocky's collection.
We may wish to do checks to ensure he is going to a good home.

We write this whilst watching him sitting at our feet, looking up at us knowing that we are upset at making this heartfelt decision.
We did not let him go during the festive period as we did not want someone to take him for the wrong reasons. A dog is a commitment and a joy in the right environment, and that's what we want for Rocky, a happy and fun home for both him and his new companions in life.
