We were Kennel Club Assured Breeders before the scheme sadly ended last year (Dec 2024). Inspected by Kennel club and deemed to be responsible breeders of English show cocker spaniels. We carry on our respected position and always breed to the same high standards. We have a great passion for the breed.
The dam is our lovely KC registered girl Orla. She is an absolutely beautiful little golden show cocker spaniel with the best temperament you could ask for. SWED SHCH westerner hi-flyer and SH CH westerner blowin free in her lineage. She is health tested to above Kennel club standards and clear of the following - Acral Mutilation Syndrome(AMS) CLEAR Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) CLEAR Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC) CLEAR Familial Nephropathy (FN) CLEAR Glycogen Storage Disease VII (Phosphofructokinase deficiency)CLEAR Progressive Retinal Atrophy(PRA) CLEAR Adult Onset Neuropathy AON UNAFFECTED Paradoxical pseudomyotonia (PP) CLEAR. BVA / KC eye exam which confirms UNAFFECTED of all tested hereditary eye diseases (including PRA, RPED, Hereditary Cataract) performed October 2023 (NO BREED RELATED ADNEXAL OR OCULAR CONDITIONS) ✔️ Gonioscopy (PLA) - UNAFFECTED Grade 0.(The Best) in Left and right eye. Normal indocorneal angle (ICA) with No Pectinate ligament abnormality (PLA). Health checked regularly at the vets and vaccinations being updated in November. Described as 'top notch' by many. Her COI (coefficiency of inbreeding) is 0.4% (excellent). Compact and pretty! Loved by all that meet her. She has the loveliest temperament, absolutely superb with children and very intelligent! Learns quickly and loves nothing more than snuggling and giving kisses.
The sire is a very handsome true to type golden boy with a lovely gentle temperament. The sire is (in my opinion) the most health tested stud dog around with an amazing pedigree to match with numerous show champions in his lineage including SHCH Sharmead golden syrup JW and GB SHCH Lochranza for your eyes only! His golden pups are very popular. There are waiting lists for his puppies so these pups will be homed FAST! Dont miss out!!!!
He is health tested to KCAB / BVA requirements and more. Progressive Retinal Atrophy PRA CLEAR Familial Nephropathy(FN) CLEAR Acral Mutilation Syndrome(AMS)CLEAR Adult Onset Neuropathy(AON) CLEAR Paradoxical pseudomyotonia(PP) CLEAR Annual BVA / KC eye exam CLEAR of all tested hereditary eye diseases (including PRA and Hereditary Cataract). Gonioscopy (PLA) - Grade 0 (the best). All these results can be seen by everyone on the KC site. PLUS Mungo has: BVA Hip score results - EXCELLENT BVA Elbow score results - EXCELLENT VET checked for non-luxating patellae. Annual booster injections. The Inbreeding coefficiency for these pups is 1.6% (excellent). This is great as the average for this breed is 10.9%. This means these puppies are at extremely low risk of inherited disorders associated with inbred dogs.
** we breed from home as a hobby, NOT a kennel. The pups will be raised in my family home around children and my other dog Margo and my cat Willow. Also around lots of household noises and handled from birth. Loved and cherished as part of our family. I work from home so I am able to care for these pups 24/7! Here at Orchid Cockers we are very proud of our attention to the quality and health of our pups. A lot of time, effort and travelling has gone into ensuring the puppies are as healthy as they can be.

Mum will always be with her pups. Also we have a rehoming policy (we hope to never use this as we would expect the new owners proactively train and desensitise) We are happy to do video calling via WhatsApp etc. Only serious enquiries please. NO time wasters thank you.
Ideally any children need to be at an age where they understand the dogs boundaries (to be discussed). Your chosen puppy (deposit recieved) will be able to be viewed when their eyes are open and they are confident and mobile. This will be around 4 weeks old. The viewing appointment will be 1 hour maximum as the puppies need to rest after playing. You will receive regular pupdates. Please try to consider and respect the timing when the puppies are ready to leave. Orla will need to begin her recovery. I can consider slight delays in collection e.g days not weeks. A non refundable deposit of £500 secures your chosen puppy this will be deducted off the balance due on collection day and must be cleared into bank account before the puppy will be allowed to leave the premises. No Cheques, No scams. We will ask some questions as to your suitability when we have an introduction video call (very informal).
We have CCTV installed at our home 24/7 front and rear. Thank you for your interest.
