Description

I’m having to re home my lilac bear coat Shar pei his name is prince and he will be 1 in December. Up to date with injections. He is absolutely stunning the pics really don’t do him justice. Unlike most Shar peis he is good with other dogs when out on walks he pulls to go over to them sometimes cry’s to get to them but good as gold with the dogs he does forget he’s pretty big sometimes and a baby still so can be a little jumpy with them. He loves his walks is strong on the lead he’s still learning to not pull so much. He lives with 4 other dogs and children and is fine with them. He is a nervous dog around strangers when out (if people come into the home he’s fine happy etc) but when walked if people want to stroke him as they often do he will hide behind me or duck when they go to touch him he shows zero aggression doesn’t growl or anything he juts moves out the way. Reason for re homing - my 5 year old pug has all of a sudden taken a dis like to him&keeps staring for ages growling at him constantly which is causing prince to react and go for him I’m having to break up daily fights between them.obviously with the size difference my pug don’t stand a chance he’s been hurt on a few occasions now,and they are having to be separated permanently around the home which is difficult. Both dogs are fine with the other dogs at home no issues at all it’s just them2.the only reason I’m choosing to re home prince over the pug is because I’ve had the pug for 5 years and he’s my daughters dog. Prince is very attached to me Shar peis tend to pick there person and he can be possessive in the sense that he don’t want other dogs to sit with me and will jump on them to move them he doesn’t show any aggression to them or anything but he will do it to them to show dominance over me or toys if he don’t want them to have the toy bowl etc never hurts them but just lets them no it’s his even if he don’t want them. Also unlike a Shar pei he is so loving he loves to be cuddled he’s a big softy and loved to bits it’s truly a devastating thing for me to do. He loves to play sleeps downstairs on his bed in the hallway no issues in the night sleeps through no accidents ever. I think he will be best suited either to someone with a very submissive dog who will not challenge him for things or no dogs at all so he can have all the attention for himself. He always wants the fuss on him especially from me. I will not just re home him to anybody he has to find the right home were I feel happy that he will be safe loved and cared for.
