My name is Aspen (was Buttercup) and I was born in Romania but I am now in a lovely foster home in Hertfordshire.
I was hit by a car when I was just 6 weeks old and left for dead, but luckily a young girl saw what had happened and she insisted her mum took me to the vet.
I suffered a broken lower jaw and rear leg so I now have an underbite and have lost some of my teeth. I still have a slight limp in my rear legs but I'm not in any pain.
I also lost a bit of my tail due to the accident, but I don’t let any of that bother me.
I was very lucky because a Romanian NGO took care of me until Stray2Me could bring me to the UK.
I'm friendly with other dogs and ok with older children, but I'd probably prefer not to live with them. Once I've learned to trust you, I'm a very loving dog who enjoys company.
Due to my accident and subsequent recovery at such a young age, I haven't had much exposure to the world, so will need slow introductions to new things/people.
My foster mum says that I've come on in leaps and bounds already since I've been in my foster home.

💙 Behaviour: I am super friendly, although I do bark at strangers, but only until I know they are friendly too. I like being with other dogs, or a cat for company.
💙 Ideal home: I would love someone who is home quite a lot and who can spend time with me. I’d really like to live with another dog or dogs or cats. I would like a garden to run around in.
